I have here a freshly bought '83. I'm a carpenter in college almost and will graduate in about one month. I was looking for this perticular truck, and I finaly found one. Bought it on the 14th of march '09 and now have it on the road. So now i am starting to fix it up (and get my 'car guy' knowledge back. Going to fix it up, repaint it, remove the cap and find an other alternative. I still need to clean it. I havent because they are anoucing rain for another 5 days. The colour should come out nicely after some wax. and my hood ornament is because the previous owner had the ram stolen from his driveway, and it looked wierd with nothing there.

It's a Stanley Fatmax, my first wood handled hammer. It's well used. I use the Estwing 25OZ. now.

It the 4spd OD, and thanks about the hubcaps, the truck came with 3 spares. They are all metal. I might think about selling some, i'm not sure yet.

same color as my '83. only my cap is "charcoal". mine's a D 250 (3/4 ton) but it don't look that much different just going by appearance wise. I was looking for a /6 4 speed truck, but didn't see any for sale, when I was looking. Didn't necessarily need a 3/4 ton, but that's what came up, at a decent price, and it's in good shape so I got it. Mine don't have a /6-stick though. 318- non lockup727, Dana 60, 3.55's; now has a few go fast goodies added (well actually, haul, tow, and still keep up with traffic, goodies) since I've gotten it.

I usualy see the good ones averaging for about 3-4000 depending on options/plows/condition/mods/etc... I was looking for about 4 months before finding this one. I really got it for a steal at uner 1000$ Can. He needed the room, and I'm a student, so it was a win-win. The guy was an engineer so he took good care of the mechanicals, but the paint and body might need some work. Also, it passed our safety-check as I bought it, nothing needed to be fixed. I think if he would've washed and waxed it, he could've had sooo much more for it.

The way I see it, the longer you wait/look, the better of a deal you will get.

PS: in my Ontario area they are usualy rusted to bits because of the road salt and winters... so this one is in great shape.
