I presently have my head off and at the machine shop. My car has Clifford Shorty headers. Can a standard starter be removed from the car with out pulling the headers?

Chiah-ching... Spend-o-meter still rotating clock ways...

Can the transmission be removed and installed with out removing the standard starter by just unbolting it and letting it hang in position?

I really, really don't want to buy a mini starter just so I can easily R&R the transmission later on. On the other hand I don't want to rip apart all the new work on the manifolds & carburetor.

You can do a removal of the trans by just unbolting the starter and wire it out of the way. I have done that.
