In reading the threads here am I correct to assume that I will need to find a 73 or newer disk brake car in order to get BBP rear axle for my Dart?
I do haveextra sets of axles I could redrill but would much rather do a complete change.
Thanks
Howard

4.5" bolt pattern 7 1/4 housings are narrower to account for the wider brakes without being wider overall. So, yes, you do need a '73+ 7 1/4 from a disc brake car as you cannot swap axle shafts.

Thanks - can you tell me what year these were available until?
I'm also wondering if there is another rear end that would bolt in to a 65 A body if you happen to know.

A-body big bolt pattern 7 1/4 is '73-'76.

73-76 A Body 8 & 1/4 rear ends will also bolt right in and they are LBP. 66-72 A Body 8 & 3/4s are also a bolt-in but still have the SBP axles
