Who makes slant six wires that don't need cutting and modification? My existing wires actually have the rubber drool tube cover that fits flush against the side of the opening and prevents crap from falling down into the drool tube. I just called Summit Racing and they were not able to find the wires or a part number. I don't want Made in China. |

Have you tried Napa? http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/N ... +-+Premium These come cut to three pairs of different lengths. For the 1-5-3-6-2-4 firing order, go long-medium-short-long-medium-short to get the best fit. |

Get Magnecor or Aurora wires, and if you want the plug tube cover caps, buy six NAPA Belden 720201, "Spark Plug Cover". I would not buy NAPA plug wires; I'm not into carbon string. |

Years ago I had NAPA (Belden?) wires on my /6; they started cracking apart within a year. I've had poor experience with some MSW - the box said USA, the inside said foreign and were very poorly made (I wrote MSW, but they never responded). I've gotten excellent quality wires from Magnecor, but in one set the length of one wire was a little (~1.5") short. (I've also been somewhat disappointed in Motorcraft; they were not a great fit even on my Ford!) If you buy over-the-counter wires, I strongly suggest you inspect them right at the store and not wait until you get home to open the box. |

Hmmm. Never had a problem with Napa wires. $26 at Napa as opposed to $60 at Magnecore or Aurora. I think i will keep using my old used sets of napa wires for a while longer. |

$26 NAPA wires are not equivalent to Aurora (or Magnecore) wires. Ignition wires do wear out and replacement should be considered in your scheduled maintenance. I have held off on mentioning this guy because of wanting to try a group buy. I really don't have the money right now. I wish they could do them in yellow! www.firecore50.com He was an active member on Moparts before he started making wires. We could get them to do a run of slant wires. |

I donno...I start thinking of nosy questions when people start claiming horsepower gains by dint of spark plug wires. Take a few moments and carefully read what Magnecor have to say on the subject ("Brief Overview", "Frequently Asked Questions", etc.) |

I got a set of the Magnacores and they fit fine. They don't cost $60 either. I think they were around $30 shipped. Shop around the internet is full of good deals (and scams too) |

I don't know how you managed to swing paying $30 for a set of Magnecor wires. My set cost me $90! And they didn't even charge me extra for the custom coil wire I asked for.

All my ghost went away when I re-installed my vintage stock Ma Mopar wires, carbon and all. The worst by far were a custom set from Jacobs, had the nasty reoccuring habit of walking off the plugs and creating all sorts of bedlam. Dave |

I just ordered a set of 6508 Magnecor's from Alamomotorsports.com. They are the same listing as a 1970 Jeep 232 or 258 motor and go for $61.50 a set. These are the 8.5 mm top shelf racing wires. I just googled "magnecor 6508" after looking in the Magnecor catalog to find the part number, and there they were. Lou |

I will find my receipt and double check it, but my wife ordered them online for me and I know she wouldn't have spent $60 for my Dart! I'll see were I got them and post it here. |
