I've seen them spark when you first turn them on too... Chris got to experience that first hand, he was the one that got bit!

Chasing down a small clicking noise, I just found that when I turn my ignition switch OFF, there's a small single spark at the coil. When I pulled the coil wire off the coil & held it close to the coil where it plugs in, the spark will jump to the coil wire. '64 A100 van W/ stock 225. Any ideas?? |

Yep, that's it. Dumb electronic ignitions keep the coil full on most of the time and turning off the ignition causes the unit to switch off the coil which produces a spark. Perfectly normal behavior. |
