As far as I know, there's at least two sizes of seals. Measure your seal and ask from a part shop. Mine doesn't have "balloon" either. I'm totally confused, which model has which seal. I was also going to change the seal, but I noticed there's play in the sliding yoke. Seems that the bushing is worn, that's why the seal is leaking. Ant to the question: How about removing the transmission tail housing, while the transmission in place in the car? The transmission mount and the crossmember must be removed. Is there enough clearance for the tail to come out when supporting the transmission with a jack? The removal of the seal would also be easier when there are no output shafts blocking the way. Thanks for answers! |
