i'm pulling an engine/trans from a 63 d100 sat and am wondering the minimaL number of tools required and what they are in order to accomplish this. I will be far from my tool box so a stripped down list of things would be nice. experienced engine/trans pullers please chime in, thanks Linc |

Just off the top of my head, you will need open/box end wrenches from 3/8" to 5/8", 3/8" to 3/4" sockets, extension, and ratchet for the motor mounts, a couple screwdrivers, and a pair of medium sized Channellocks just in case. Hook the chain short and you'll get away without having to pull the hood if you're using a cherry picker type engine hoist. |

Buy yourself one of those 5 gallon bucket organizers. $10.00 bucks or so from Loews. Fill it. You will be fine. |

All that, and also add a floor jack of some kind to hold up the trans... you don't want to let it hang in there. Plus it will make re-installation alot easier.Hook the chain short and you'll get away without having to pull the hood if you're using a cherry picker type engine hoist. ~THOR~ |

Build it with FORGED parts and use ARP fasteners. Keep it in tune. Talk to Big D (zilla) Frank |
