What size exhaust tubing should I use on my 63 Dart. It is a stock motor, and it has headers. I only use this car for racing, so I was wondering what size exhaust tubing you guys run for the most power, but still have enough backpressure. Thanks. |

Enough back pressure? No such thing on a 4-stroke-cycle engine. 2 1/4" works well if you use a good muffler. I like the Walker Dynomax Super Turbo and also the Dynomax Ultra Flow if you want it a little louder. |

Race car with headers......... Is it 3-2-1 or 6-1? 3-2-1, I'd do 2 1/4 merged to 2 1/2 6-1, 2 1/2 Or 3-2 dual at 2 1/4 |

It's 3-2 headers, and I'm going to keep it dual exhaust, and run one pipe over to the other side. |

Single exhaust is cheaper, lighter and makes every bit as much power as duals if done right. |

Quote: I only use this car for racing, . Make sure the exhaust does not blow on anything that can burn or melt. |

You'll gain some power with an X pipe....... |

I'm with Charrlie. Just dump them under your butt. That way you'll almost be able to hear the engine running when you stage next to a Gasser! CJ |

slants sound good with a straight pipe they sound like a massey ferguson 300 combine with no muffler |

Dual straight pipes would be neat! Some tracks require mufflers to pass tech. |
