My 81 Dodge D150 had a lean burn computer on it when i bought it and ever since i converted it to conventional electronic (electric ignition) its had this strange miss. It only will do it when its started for the first time of the day. when its warmed up it performs great with no missing or whatever. But then i also noticed if when i start it for the first time in the morning and dont really let it warm up and then go to put it in gear it boggs way down and starts 2 run on 3 cylinders like the vaccum advance is advancing it too far. My other Dodge pickup has a 318 and it has never done this. Please help im out of ideas. |

in your lean-burn elimination, did you install a car distributor, or a van/truck one? |

I took the distributor and out of a 80 Aspen car and carb (Holley 1945) out of a 76 Scamp |

Sounds more like carburetor/choke trouble than an ignition-related problem. Carburetor operation and repair manuals (and some training movies) are posted here for free download, and if you install one of the Electric choke kits, you can fully adjust it to suit your engine's needs. |

Aren't car springs lighter (or is it heavier)?Otherwise, yeah, sounds like a choke problem. |
