Hi. I'm in the last stage of my engine overhaul. And I need some parts for my 225 Slanty. Valves Springs Retainers Locks And a good camshaft for a standard 225. I can't find a good website to order from, all my V8 stuff is from Mancini or others but they don't have slant six parts. Thanks. |

Frank. I found engine builder on ebay, and bought springs, valves and locks. I think I can reuse my retainers. Now I just need to find a decent cam, I would also like to get my hands on a 4 bbl intake and headers. Thanks. Joakim |

Joakim I see your in Sweden, Welcome to the forum. You will want to do some research on here and come up with a precise build before you order a cam. We can help you if you want. Things to consider are Budget, what you want to do when your done(ie drag race or street cruiser), what fuel will you run. These are a few of the questions you need to answer. Use the search function on this board. Also look over the Articles section on the main page. Hope this helps, Frank |

Frank, I need other parts before I can choose a cam. I normally work on heavy camed BB mopars, so the /6 is new territory for me. I'm searching for a 4 bbl intake and some headers, or I will make my own headers. My ultimate /6 would be turbo charged and atleast 2 hp/cui. But that will come later. Thanks. |

Joakin, the Aussie intake is what I will be running but there are several choices. For Offy go to the slanted network and check out the thread on Dan Marvin. Ask him for his car club discount and you will most likely save 5%. He does ship international. Fanie from South Africa is working on several cool manifolds and may be getting close to production. Didn't know if new or used is in your budget. Hope this helps, Wayne. |

Joakim Ill give you what experience i have used and what I know of others. The slant doesnt like to run more than 6500 RPMs (most try and stay below 6K) The 75% rule of intake /exhaust is valid on slants. New Rods (K1) and forged Pistons (Wiseco) are available and a Great choice. Good flow numbers are in the 200-220 CFM range. Bores to .120 are routinely done. .100 off the head is normal(although with the new K1 rods and Wiseco pistons you will not want that much off) .150 from the deck/head total is routine, however shorter push rods are required over about .140 off. Remember to build it for torque and not HP and put the rest of the car together prudently and you will be happy. 2hp/CI is doable with a turbo or charger. good luck Frank |
