This is another example of an idle mind is the devils playground. I know it is stupid , but came to mind , what if you put like a cpu cooling fan at the end part of the air cleaner for the air ducting . and wire it to come on when running. . ridicule at will Dave |

You'll have less airflow as it will be more of a restriction than help. |

i thought the same thing when i discovered they were 12v, but in addition to blocking the airway i dont think they spin near fast enough to do anything. i briefly thought about wiring one to my amp to keep it cooler, but never did that either... |

There is a comercially made devise that dose exactly what you are suggesting. It has a small fan that ducts to your air intake and they claim more MPG and power. Ha the fan is smaller than a ps fan! |

get a small solar panel and fabricate a housing for the panel and the CPU fan and build a device which will fit over a mostly rolled up window to circulate air in the car while it is parked. |
