Well I have my cam corrected and car is running pretty good now but I still am having problems with a leak at the timing cover.I had it on and off two times to get the cam and balancer corrected and it is leaking at the seal to the oil pan.Looks like the only way to change the seal is to drop the oil pan?I don't want to go there because that means pulling the engine which means pulling the trans and a bunch of money for fluids and remflex gasket.The seal on the oil pan doesn't look torn and I cleaned it up as best as I could and put a little sealer on it before reassembly.Anybody got some good tips on replaceint the timing cover gasket and not having it leak at the pan?I hate to take it apart agoin but I don't like leaks and it makes a mess for the front end and oil pan.Granted it's not pouring out but it'll leave a small amount on the floor,more so after running it real hard.I would hate to get oil on my headers and burn this car down.With the way things have gone on this project I could just see that happening!
On a side note,I generally don't name my cars but with the amount of terror this one has put me through (3 years and a lot of time and money) I decided,OK the car decided it should be called KRISTINE after the famous Mopar movie.
