PTC sent me the wrong size flex plate to torque converter 7/16" bolts that are too big. Foiled again for a few more days to get this car back together. To be fair PTC is sending out to me the correct bolt today PP shipping.

I have seen two different sizes listed for this application from various suppliers: 5/16" x 20 x 0.490" long; and 5/16" x 24 x 0.490" long. This fastener size is not listed in the FM, or my Torqueflite A-727 Transmission Handbook by C.H. Munroe, which size is correct?

Are you sure the torque converter doesn't take 7/16" bolts? My PTC converter does so I had to drill out the flex plate.

Stock converters use 5/16"X24. Aftermarket converters can have 5/16" or 7/16". My Midwest converters are one of each. :(
