| Post subject: | ordered my clutch |
i ordered my clutch today and i got a question i ordered the 10 inch zoom clutch insted of the 9 1/4 and i was just checking when i get the clutch, wont i have to use the clutch bolts off like an f-body instead of stock becouse of some kind of a clearence issue ro is that somthing i dreamed up? |

Yes, you'll need smaller head diameter bolts to attach the clutch cover to the flywheel. Is this a stock engine? One that won't rev over 5k RPM at the most? I don't want you to experience a clutch explosion like Greg O did. http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... 07&start=8 |

like are yall talkin about shifting over 5000 or in high gear turning 5000 this is gonna be my mild street car with compression, cam, intake and head work |

I'd have to say that any engine operation above 5000 RPM with the scalloped 10" clutch is questionable. |

which if i turn lower rpms it will make my engine last longer 9in the long run right? |

the 9 wont supposed to be in there. i was asking if i didnt run the engine so hard would it last longer right? |
