i have a 1894 dodge d100 pickup 6 foot bed. i wanna do away with the bed and put a stake body on it. does anyne know how i can go about this? |

did exactly that on my 79 D 100. My brother and I welded up a 3" channel frame with 2 longitudinal 3" channel braces spaced as the truck frame is; then stiffened it with 2" heavy angle between the channel, I went to a sawmill and fot some rough sawn oak 2X10s and bolted them to the angle iron with 3/8-16 carriage bolts and linseed oiled the oak bed at least twice a year. |

do you have any pics? im really interested in doing this but im not that good of a welder and im not that good with designs ya know. i need to find a website or something that can show me how to make it....even if i had a decent picture i could kinda get a clue of what im building |
