Ryan's Dart is up and running with the Erson regrind cam in it. 510 lift / 282 duration. The spec sheet for the cam shows .023 hot for both intake and exhaust clearances. Why are they the same? I thought the exhaust was usually about .010 more clearance than the intake. Thanks, Rick |

Rick Each Cam Co. Set the lash up different. It also changes from grind to grind. Remember that its only a starting point and you can "play" with your lash to get more or less from your cam. It not a BIG change but a change none the less. Frank |

Start with the cam grinder specs....then when the motor is running well try varying the lash for smooth idle and power production. I generally vary the lash about 2 thou each trial. I ended up about 1-2 thou tighter on my Erson 280/270 (intake and exhaust) |

Well I will have to loosen up the intake to their specs and start there. I'm at .015 and .023 now. It idles pretty well after it is warmed up and I have about 14-15" vacuum. Is that about where I should be with a cam this size. Thanks, Rick |

That is quite good vacuum for a cam that size. Lou |
