I've been 16 teens with a stock long block. I seem to recall someone on here in the 15's with a stock cam. ![]() |

14.095, with a tired shake-down (presently over carbed with three SUs) engine in an HA/GR, not a bodied car. 13.39, for "sgtmcd42" in another HA/GR, decent engine on a 3/4 pass (may not've been a stock cam). |

15s should be no problem. My '68 has gone 16.30s with a MP 244 cam, essentially stock, and that is a 3400 lb car with me. If I dropped that 140k mile, 8.8:1 motor into my '64 Dart it would go 15.70 or so, and in my V it would go 15.30. 14s should be no problem if you go all out on the other mods and have a light car. IIRC, Ron Parker's Dart had a stock cam until about 4 yrs ago and he ran high 14s or low 15s? Very light car - 2450 lbs or so empty. Mike J's stocker uses a stock LIFT cam, but duration is unlimited. Well Lou it was more like six years ago and the fastest it ran was a 14.89at Columbus in the ice. If I remember the car still had the 7 1/4 rearend and 3.91 gears. Stock engine with a holley 390 cfm double pumper and headers. Me and Bagel had a match race at Clay City sometime around then and raced three times with Slantzilla. I won a race he won a race and I think he red bulbed in the third race correct me if im wrong ole buddy Thanks Ron Parker ![]() Bee Good Or Bee Gone |
