Post subject:  lower control arm

the bushing to the K frame bolt and Tortion bar is a pain in the ^$$ to get in. Don't have access to any press's. bigger hammer. anybody have any tips.

Sounds like you don't have the proper tools which limits you to taking the lower control arm to a shop. I'd ask some local Mopar folks if they can refer you to a front end shop.

:shock: Yes — DO NOT beat bushings in with a hammer. If you don't have access to a press or the proper tool, take it to a machine shop and pay THEM to do it for you. Either way, put down the hammer, and step away from the car...

will have to get the lowers to the shop then, thank you. the tool for the uppers is on its way from Mancini racing.

You can draw them into place with a piece of ready-rod, a couple of fender washers, nuts and some big wrenches. Just do yourself a favour and put a light smear of grease in the hole before you start.

Doesn't the service manual say don't use grease?

The uppers you don't need a tool, I used a vice and some large sockets. The lowers may be tricky, getting the bushing in the arm is one thing but getting the spindle into the bushing may be tough without a press.
