Post subject: | Wheel well roll |
Not sure where to post this but has anyone tried to roll the rear wells out with pipes on the wheels or something like that? I have only heard of it but never attempted myself. I only need about an inch wider. Thanks for the help |

I tried that on my Dart, but the area was rusty and it did not work so well, so I used a cut off wheel to gain my clearance. It takes 2 people, 1 to drive the car back and forth, and 1 to work the pipe. I would be real careful if it is a good looking car, it is REALLY EASY to destroy a good quarter panel. I did not care on my car, as rust had already destroyed my quarters before I got it. TopHat |

Post subject: | massaging rear wheel lip |
I used a wooden baseball bat and had a couple of guys push the car back and forth and had to do it about a dozen times per side (car wasn't running). It worked, but I did it a little at a time and before car was painted. Cutoff wheel might work, but it weakens the wheel lip if someone were to lean against that area. Maybe try it on a beater car first for practice. |

Don't have a pic, but I just cut the wheel opening bigger, no more lips. They were rusty anyway. I had 245-60-15 tires and it was plenty strong to cut up the sidewalls that were sticking out. I am fairly sure patch panels would fix it if I ever wanted to. TopHat |
