WHILE RESTORING MY 65 FURY I REMOVED A WORKING ALTERNATOR AND REPLACED IT WITH A NICE CLEAN NEW ONE....IT STOP CHARGING...SO I TOOK IT OFF AND HAD IT TESTED...TESTS OK....SO I CHANGED THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR....STILL NO CHARGE....ALL THESE NEW PARTS LOOK NICE BUT THEY DONT WORK...WHAT AM I MISSING ??
SLANT SIX ....TWO WIRE ALTERNATOR...HELP !

Is it NEW or REMAN??? Reman == junk, new may be junk. If the store still has your old one get it back.
As for things to check...connections, broken wires, fuse link, regulator. If that s ALL you did it should be easy to track down. Do you have a FSM?

What charging system do you have? You said two wire alternator. Do you mean one field wire (small) and one large wire (battery), or two field wires and one battery wire? The stock 65 wireing uses one field wire, most rebuilt alternators require two field wires, If this is the case, connect the second field (spade) connector on the alternator to ground. Hook everything else up the same as stock original.
