I just got some erson push rods from someone on this forum and they were supose to be standard length for the 225 but they are shorter. Am I screwed or is there longer adjuster bolts I can use to compensate for them?

They may be for a 170. They have shorter pushrods. The kit I bought from isky for my 225 came with pushrods for a 170 and they wouldn't take them back or send me new ones....

You really don't want very much of the rocker adjusting screw sticking out the bottom of the rocker arm. A thread or two is ideal. If the stock adjusting screws don't make it then you need to change the pushrods. How much too short are your pushrods anyhow?

Pushrods need attention too!

If you are doing anything with the head/block from changing gaskets to milling 130 off the block you need to mockup everything up and check pushrod length and rocker angles.

Then you call up Smith Bros and get the perfect length rods in 2 days.
Smith Bros is an excellent vendor.

When I screwed the adjuster all the way down it still wasn't tight. The good news is I can get my money back.

So they are just a little bit too short. Has your head or block been milled at all? I'm looking for some slightly shorter than stock pushrods for my latest 225.

My head was supose to be milled .080. I paid $70 for them, they are a good push rod from erson. Send me a pm if you are interested in them. I hope to have this figured out this week end.
