I got a 66 Valiant wagon and want to put the Offy/4BBl on it. The car has air and will I run into any trouble or just a straight install. Should said it's a 3 on the tree and NO options but the air and blue tinted windows. Thanks, Bill |

Bill I have a 66 Dart Wagon with 4bbl. You will need to figure out the kickdown linkage. Lockar or Buchlion??? Mine was an AC car so it had the cable gas pedal. Long story but mine is out right now and will go back in cross mounted (Primarys closest to engine,Sec closest to fender. Frank PS Hope you have done some work to this engine as a 4 bbl on a stocker is over kill. |

I'll also echo: What's the goal here? Usually it's best to start at the start (plan out exactly what you want the car to do differently than it does now) rather than starting at the end (selecting parts to swap on). |

Here's what has been done to the engine so far: Bored .060 over,.100 off the head along with being ported&polished(all hand done) Erson cam .465 lift in it 2.5 exhaust from the manifold back. Does this setup sound like it will work for the 4bbl? as I have a 2bbl off a 273 on it seems like it's lagging for fuel;?? Thanks for help, Bill |

That sounds like a good combo for a BBD. I would recurve the dist before going to a 4 bbl |

Yea this is my first hop-up of a /6. Always had them in my cars/trucks. I have been a small block guy since the 60's as I have 3 abodys now and of corse the b-body 69 Runner. I have had this wagon and just want to have agood street and ocasonal run down the strip car. How much on recurve in dist? Thanks, Bill |

Bill Sounds like the build is simular to mine. It should work ok. If your a Holley man a 390cfm 4160 works or Eddy 500cfm 140X works good if your into Carter/AFB. I use the Eddy. Did you put in OS valves when you had it apart? What did your heads CC at? Frank |

Is it a Stromberg or a BBD? Float height may be the culprit on fuel starvation. |

Been out on road running bow ties to buy Mopar parts. Anyway No OS valves maybe mistake? And its a BBd carb and been problem for the go as sits and I have to crank, crank to start it up but after that no problems just when sits. New learning on this engine as said before all small blocks. Also if y'all have any ideas or better upgardes please let me know as I'm always learning even as an ol'man. Thanks, Bill |

Bill unless you want to put OS valves in and get your compression up to 9.5 or so, I would stay with the 2bbl. Holley makes a nice 500cfm 2bbl that looks like a 4160 4bbl. If you wanted to put a 4bbl manifold on then do your head work later that might work for you. TTYL Frank |
