MAN OH MAN. I FINALLY found a windshield at a decent price for the 66 Dart. What a run around. From PPG not telling anyone where the windshield is made (found out it was China), to quotes of $450, it's been a crazy experience. My advice. But one now and save it before every gosh darn windshield available is Chinese garbage at over the top prices. America is on the brink of being China's b**** real soon. |

So how did you find a good one, what did you have to pay, and where was it made? |

A LOTTTTTTTTTT of calls and some very nice salespeople. Where is it made? Herein lies the rub. It's a Pilkington (LOS) but they won't tell me if it was made in Mexico, Canada, or the USA. $263. I have heard that the plant in Mexico is to US standards. |

I would not hesitate to accept a Mexican-made windshield from a major maker (such as Pilkington). Is it old stock or current-production? I ask in case I might soon need one myself. |

Be aware that some PPG's are made in China

Sorry Frank. Yeah locally. Not sure about your part of the country but here in Tucson you really have to go through an auto glass shop who of course get the windshield from a PPG or Pilkington warehouse. I tried the PPG and Pilkington warehouses directly and got over the top prices and worse service. (And I poured on the charm for both warehouse calls) |

Geessssssssssssssssssssh Turns out the "LOF" windshield is a FYG (made in China). The gal from the shop apologized left and right and was more appauled then I was that Pilkington would lie to her about this She did call back and say FYG was awarded "Supplier of the YEar" by GM though. So, $300 from a Junkyard for 2 windshields or $263 + tax for the FYG? Come on guys, let me know what you think |

I guess I would go with the new one. I have 2 windshields from AZ and they are both foggy. That being said do you think the old ones would stay clear for the next 20 years??? Something to ponder, Frank |

How is the fit and quaility of the of the windshields for China on the '66 Dart? I'm assuming they will also fit the 64-66 Valiants. |
