well as my luck would have it i might be in need for a new carb
after much frustration and head scratching myself and a few others figured out what was wrong with my car
something inside the carb was not putting out enough gas
and we thought this was gonna be an easy fix

well the background on the carb in the car is that it was recently "rebuilt"
well we get a rebuild kit and proceed to take it apart

theres something wrong
according to the diagram the carb is missing 1 spring and 3 other odds and ends

well we manage to make a spring from another carb work and go on

to no avail there is still a constant hesitation in the carb
all three adjustment points on the accelerator pump were tried...nothing

oh and the other parts we are missing...they dont sell seperate or even in a kit

my idea was to bite the bullet and buy a remanned one since im going to daily drive this care

my buddies is to hit the junk yards and start looking for parts...cheaper but in reality not positive we can get whats needed and not sure it will be reliable

should i just buy a new carb?
or should i try and fix it for cheaper but maybe not longterm?

and any suggestions or advice on the holley 1920 would be greatly appreciated

I second buying from Dan. I bought a NOS carb from him for about what you would pay for a POS Reman carb .

well we fiddled a little more today and got it running decent
but theres still hesitation and every once and awhile a back fire
as long as u play with the gas a bit till it gets up to speed your good to go

ill probably be looking for a super 6 intake cause i have like three 2 barrel carbs i know are good and i can use
