I have this nice older tuck which I had intended to pull the 6 and drop in a 360. However, I think I'd like to give the 6 a chance. I have gotten a EI conversion kit and am now looking for direction an which Carb. I should get. I need to know which carb is going to be a bolt on including which year vehicle I can get it from. |

Welcome to this site! My truck is an 83/6 with manual overdrive. The carb set up you prolly should go with will be the SuperSix sometimes available in the "parts for sale" on this board or Ebay. Don't do like I did and start building before you set up a plan of action.Search here for cam , headwork, and exhaust, then decide how far you wish to go. A standard long block with super six(bbd carburetor) is a pretty decent package, hopefully tho I will go back in with cam, head work(valves, etc) and Dutra duals(exhaust) Look around it's all here, good luck rob |

Jag We need some more info from you. Do you have emissions testing or inspections where you are at? What do you want the truck to do? How much money do you want to invest in the slant? If you stay with the 1bbl a Holley 1920 carb if 2bbl (super six) the Holly 2280 or BBD are good choices. If you want PM Slant Six Dan on the board and get a NOS carb. My02. Frank |
