I have a chance to get a 100000 mile slant from 78 volare with super 6 for 750 bucks. go for it or not? it's for a 72 swinger

Wow.... 750 for a slant is a bit overpriced... Rebuilding a slant with 750 to spend would get you a helluva good slant... definitely better than stock. If you look in the right places, you can get a running slant for just slightly more expensive than free...

thanks guys. thought the wrecker was charging too much, that's why I asked here. they wanted 300 for an intake, kickdown and air cleaner, but NO carb.

Slants are free.

You could expect to pay less than $300 for a running slant araund the Koot Knees.

I just picked up a 79 Aspen Super6 engine/trans complete from fan to tailshaft,aircleaner to pan,$250 which I thought was a tad high but I wanted the whole deal for a future build. It was a runner,got the kick down linkage and the aircleaner decal is still in good shape.Keep looking they're out there :)
