I just bought a brand new mechanical pump and hooked it up and I was only getting 2.5Psi max with no return. I'm assuming the lobe from the camshaft is wore out. How can I tell? |

Turn the engine over by hand using a wrench, not the starter!.......set up a magnetic base with probe and gauge and then turn it over and see how much lift it provides at the gauge. |

how much lift is it supposed to have? isnt the stock lift .395? |

For a stock cam at least .300 at a minimum. There should be about .380 to .400. It is the same as your other cam lobes. I have a used cam and just looked at it. |

alright.. well I'll have to drag it down there tomorrow to confirm the lift on it. |
