On dual field alternators I can't tell from the wiring diagram which wire from the voltage regulator goes to which Field terminal on the alternator.
Does anyone have a way of telling? One wire goes directly to the voltage regulator and the other goes to the ballast resistor/voltage regulator. On the alternator (looking at the back of the alt. mounted normally) there is the output terminal at 1 o'clock, a Field terminal at 11 o'clok and another at 9'oclock, IIRC. Which wire goes to 9 o'clock and which goes to 11 o'clock?
