decided that im going to start doing things right on my dart, and working towards a goal instead of fixing things as they come up. so. heres an outline i put together, of what i think i may be able to reasonably afford. very tentative, may be able to do somethings sooner, but i think i can do it as laid out below hopefully. my goal is a fast slant 6 powered dart, keeping it fairly stock appearance, very streetable, but able to hold its own a little more, a 9 second car would be nice of course, but i want to be able to drive it around too, so thats out of the question probably. anyway, would appreciate your input anything and everything...thanks!

this year i am doing the following:
1. putting in a 4 fuse block- for the aftermarket electronics, currently all are on one big fused wire, each item will have its own fuse, mounting the block on interior firewall i think.
2. redo the fuel system-ordered new gas tank, seals, and locking chrome cap, redoing everything from the tank to the (but not including) the carb. already have a newer sending unit, cleaning it up. i read on here searching that fuel pumps are more designed for pushing, i havent been up under my dart for a while, but is there a reasonable location to mount an electric pump? works fine in the engine compartment as long as there is not stuff plugging up the sock of the sender.
3. cd player housing-bought an under dash mounting box, will replace the cable ties to bottom of the ac vents i did in hs.
4. replacing the windshield
5. putting in an alarm
6. replacing the trunk weatherstripping, whats the best source? tried to use some that looked like new universal at the junk yard and it didnt work right.
7. putting in magnacore wires, probably the better cap (bluestreak and rotor mo3000 iirc) as well.
8. speaker bracket from 74 sport/front speakers

1. front disc brakes and rear end (8 ¾?) i would imagine i would want to keep the front and back the same bolt pattern. so what would the best way to go about that (with disc brakes on the front at least, maybe the rear)?
2. obviously when i change bolt patterns, i will need different wheels and tires

1. 4bbl carb/intake (hyper pack, hurricane or offenhauser?)
undecided on the intake, but a 4bbl, and whatever seems to be the best carb when the time comes.
2. dutras/headers again undecided, but one of the two.
3. rebuild engine- is there a good kit or is it best to piece together one from different sources?
this includes head shaved, port and polish etc etc, basically a very nicely built slant, will get there when i get there.

1. paint/pop out the one small dent- most likely the factory color, probably the same place lindross got his valiant done, i assume its close to me and it looks great in the pictures.
while car is apart and getting painted:
2. both bumpers have slight tilts, get them straightened if possible, or replace.
3. outside rechrome as needed
4. front seat covers/foam
5. dash cap
6. carpet
7. arm rests
8. trunk mat
9. redo tint (PO had it done in the 80s, but some is starting to peel)
10. redo interior chrome/ install new ammeter (have an external one
wired up now)
11. new undercoating
12. put in ac when i put engine back in the dart with new paint and redone interior.
13. while im on the interior section, is there any product to clean old vinyl? my door panels and back seat are a little dirty, seem stained almost, theyre white, bleach wont work will it? they are white, just sort of dingy.

other little misc as i go along, i feel like it would be best to get the car running and stopping good, and correcting some things i sort of halfway did before starting anything major.
will post other questions regarding engine specifics etc in the appropriate forums when i have the money, i feel i got real ambitious the last year, maybe ill have gotten a raise by then lol...going to try to stick to this pretty close and save money for bigger things rather than buying lots of little things. please comment and suggest things! thanks
also a conversation piece, my landlord/roommate might not appreciate it on his refinished hardwood...
