Ick.... I take it the radiator popped?

It's hard to tell... did the bumper brackets or upper control arm tweak the subframe?

That *might* be salvageable. So long as the frame rails aren't tweaked too bad, you can replace the ood, fender, grill, inner fender, and radiator support, and I am assuming you wil need a new radiator too. Shop around at body shops and see what they quote you, and be prepared to fight with the insurance company to get a decent cost for your car.

You are right. Right now, go collect ant and all receipts you have for parts or work done on the car. Don't take their first offer either. Insurance companies make their profits by screwing people over (and that is my opinion as a lawyer). If you can, get yourself anattorney to represent you (I do criminal law so I would be worthless).

Be prepared for the insurance adjuster to lowball the value of the car. I repeat, do not accept their first offer. What is actually going on is the insurance company is buying from you your right to sue them for damage to your property and any injury to yourself. You should also go and get checked out by a doctor since soft tissue injuries often don't exhibit symptoms for days to weeks after an accident. Get x-rays, etc.. and keep all documentation. Be prepared to fight the insurance company to get an even halfway decent settlement.
