hello all, i was curious about the 1945 carb on my daughters 76 225. if i let it set for a couple or three days it has a vary week or no shot from the accelerator pump. after cranking it about 4 times it shoots strong and starts right up. it does not matter if i started it and drove it around town or just moved it into the drive way. in two or three days it is empty. i rebuilt the carb a couple of months back and the new acc pump diaphram cured its hesitation problem. car runns well. is there some casting plug in the carb that is prone to leaking the fuel out of the bowl such as some quadra jets do? if not how am i loosing my gas. any thoughts on this matter are appreciated. thanks jd |

Try the Fuel line mod and see if that cures the problem. |
