On a 71 Demon, if I go from power steering to a manual steering box, would I also have to change out the steering column? |

Never heard of an adapter for a steering column. Can this be purchased...possibly from you? |

Many of the steering and suspension parts suppliers carry the PS to manual adaptor. (Firm Feel, PST, Steer & Gear, etc.) Also look at ebag DD |

There are two steering column lengths power(shorter), and manual steering(longer column, shorter box)... for a power guy to go to manual you need the adaptor( "extension")....for a manual guy, that gets a bit tougher...(column swap, column shaft swap...)-D.Idiot |

Bear in mind the manual and power boxes have different size inputs and spline counts. I can't remember the difference ( I think the manual is bigger.) Make sure whatever adapter you order will have the proper male/female ends to work in your app. The factory ones didn't and neither did the early aftermarket ones (mid 90's) I looked at. And rebuild your joint while it's apart! -James |
