What pistons are able to be used in the /6? I was just looking at ebay and seen some rods with attached forged Mahle VW pistons, are these a good choice? Are there any aftermarket rods available?

No catalog of Sl6 parts that I know of, there is a wide range of metric pistons which can be used, watch for the .901 piston pin size (2.2 Mopar) or else you will have to ream or bush the small end to fit the piston pin.

$129 for a set of bushed 198 rods is a pretty good price.
