Yeah I went heads up with a 6.1 challenger in the dart one time in the 1/8th. I wasnt sure if the guy did not know how to drive or what but he was faster than me after the 1/8 mile mark for sure.

Of couse my dart is about a second slower in the 1/8th than you Mark, So I think the dude I raced was sittin and spinnin a lot:)

Either way it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see a slant car keep up with one of those!

The 6.1/5.7's are not that fast through the 1/8th mile, but hang on at the 1/4 mile mark.

What were both of your MPH?

8:58 is honkin' right along for a Slant car on motor only. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I got to spend a couple days driving the girlfriend's '06 Hemi R/T Charger. Even with the anti-spin on it is tough to launch. If it spins it seems to go straight into second gear, and until it gets over 4000 in second you can almost push faster than it runs. After that though, hang on. It's a lot of fun for a 2 ton ugly-azz 4 door car.

I think the 6.1 Challenger runs 13.8 in the 1/4 from the factory if I remember right.

Useing a on line calculator, his 1/8 to 1/4 time is 13.73 which I think is about right,he had a aftermarket intake and Borla exhaust,,,,mine calculated out to 13.34 somewhat optimistic I think,Mark
