i recently came upon a extra dizzy out of a 76 duster, and im thinking of doing a recurve on it and droping it into my '80. just to play around with. right now my car likes alot of inital timing, and i have the vacuum advance out 3 turns. i have read many older posts, but im still confused about which springs will be good for me. in the 76 dizzy it has a light green spring and a thick heavy spring, and i belive its an 11r vacuum advance. any help would be greatly appricited.thanks

Send me a PM... Pull the governor out and let me know if you have an 11R or a 9R dizzy... I will have a spring for you to install to replace the light spring, to get you started...

My slant liked a lot of initial too and I later found out it was because my timing chain was sloppy from all the miles.

If you find a good retail source for the springs that are advised in previous recurve posts or from this thread, would you be so kind as to pass that info along in this thread?

Thanks
