So everyone has been so great, and I am near the end..... at least for now..... All back together, oil pressure sender wire attached, and started the car and the exhaust was leaking like a son of a gun.... or so I thought...... Went through checked all my gaskets and torque specs and couldn't figure out the problem til I put my hand behind the exhaust near the firewall and felt a very strong warm breeze..... from a big freakin hole that my old manifold did not have...... Guessing EGR? What would you recommend to close it up? Just a bolt and Lock washer? Thanks Again Jeremy And yes I am going to buy the books soon.... well once I find a job...... |

Yes, plug it with a brass plug if you can if not, use a stainless steel bolt and lock tight. |

What the hell is THAT!? First time I've ever seen a threaded hole in that location. Is it supposed to be for an O2 sensor? I suggest you figure out the threads and get a proper plug for it. If the plug has to be steel, put some copper-based anti-sieze on it before threading it in......and do the same for those bolts holding the exhaust pipe flanges together. Roger |

Yes, it's an O2 sensor port. |

Post subject: | You could... |
Just put an O2 sensor in and wire it up to a gauge and see how your carb is doing (and use the data subjectively to dial in the mix and your timing a bit better...) -D.Idiot |
