I got a Hurst shifter along with a bum 4-speed. I sent it to $Year$one$ for their pricey rebuild- to their old address. 6 months later it returned through USPS, by which time I had bought a new replacement from http://www.summitracing.com/ for less than the rebuild. That's my story, in short. New one works fine. They have them for automatics as well, PN HUU-3160009, for example. |

For the auto trans your choices are almost limitless. Any auto shifter Hurst makes will work with a 904 pretty much. I am partial to the Quarterstick myself, but have also used a Promatic 2. If you want the height of cool track down a set of Lightning Rods. |

No need to get fancy..just as ''zilla reports, the quarterstick and promatic 2 work great...I went from 904 to a 727 now and use promatic 2. Kinda wish I had the quarterstick back but not enough to undo the promatic and be sure my kickdown is just right. The kinda want to is just because I can't ever leave well enough alone, not perfomrance. rock '64d100 |
