Hello all again,
Well I was at the salvage yard {PC term for junkyard}, and I spotted a Volare 4dr. Popped the hood and there sat a slant with the 2bbl manifold, only the carb was missing.
Is this a good find? How rare are these things?
should I just go back and pull the head assm. with the intake/exhaust attached? This would have the cast crank motor, is this correct?
What else should I yank from this thing? Whole motor is $125

From what I've seen the kick down linkage is the most sought after. Me, I'd grab it all for 125.00 parts is parts.. The air cleaners are another rarity. The 318 BBD are a dime a dozen and the linkages can be made to work. I think the 318 air cleaners also will work. Just my .02 worth

I'm with lowbudget, I'd buy the whole engine, provided I had the funds and the time.
The next best thing would be to get as much stuff as possible: kickdown linkage, intake/exhaust manifold washers, intake and exhaust manifolds, valve cover, and the cylinder head.
Being that it's a Volare, I'd get the rotors if I could.
Have fun!
