So I was out driving stopped, and when I went to start the car, it made a really fast clicking noise, but didn't turn over at all, no engine movement. Then after a few tries, and a little rest, it fired right up. However, after that, my blinkers stopped working. Nothing on the lights side, nothing on the dash displays. AND, when I turn on the left one, the right comes on a little brighter but doesn't blink....Any thoughts? Are they related?

You dont say on what veh. I think you may have ( or had ) an under dash wiring short. The give away is the discharged battery ,then stuff not working.
Be VERY careful you may end up with a melt down or fire.

sorry, its a 65 dodge dart. Are you saying that I'm going to have to get INTO the dash and rewire a bunch of stuff?

The most likely culprit is a bad connection. In my experience, typical spots to give problems from the most common down:

1) right at the battery clamps
2) bulkhead feedthrough - the fatter wires there are the ones that
give trouble (check for signs of corrosion, overheating, &
melted plastic)
3) connection to the ammeter studs (it's better to cut the nuts off
than to break the ammeter trying to force them off)
4) ignition switch connector
5) connection at the starter relay and starter

I'd check those carefully 1st before considering any rewiring. After 40+ years, you've got to expect some oxidation, but you ought not to be melting the plastic housings.

Seriously though. HI-Larious. Thanks for that.
And thanks for the list as well. I'll check that out and see what I find.

New Diagnoses.
I went out and turned on the electrical, and the blinkers worked, though it took a sec for them to go. Then I went to start it, and it turned over twice, real slow, like the battery was dying, but then after it turned over real slow, it went to clicking really fast again.
In my limited knowledge, it seems like either a dying battery, or then the alternator is bad right? That is what recharges the battery isn't it?

Sure sounds like a dead/dying battery to me or at a minimum bad/dirty connection at the battery posts. Pull the battery cables and clean the battery posts and cable ends, see if that helps. If the battery is low you may have to have it charged. And yes the alt is what charges the battery which it still could be that or regulator, good luck.
