Just pulled the head off my 71 /6 today to do work. The coolant hole behind the water pump in the block is stopped up with something and there is a piece of 3/16 tubing sticking out of the blockage. i pulled the piece of tubing out. it looks like it was stuck in the stuff (looks like cast) and then broke off. it had the steel shim so i think it came from mopar like that. anybody else seen this. is this hole suppose to be open??

Thanks i just read that. i saw the wire in the head too. like Dan said i am going to pull as much as i can out of the head. but this is in block and it was a piece of tubing and not a wire. it pulled out. it was real thin tubing like the handle of a brush.
