I've run across two different air gap setting for the stock MoPar elec dist, one is .006 up to like 76 and the other is .008 for on up. Since my ignition is a lean burn conversion with a mix mash of parts does it make any difference which gap I use? Another question is what OHM rated ballast should one use? The parts stores are showing a few different ballasts for my 2 wire setup and when I mention a 76 dist(what I started with) they all want to give me a 4 wire ballast? Thanks all,I wait in my usual confused state :? ,remember we have our own state flag

Typically it's .008, but there are variations by the years. I actually set mine to .010 since I've caught a few reluctors with uneven teeth...

Good Luck,
