Post subject:  The Pro Tru's are coming! 3.504 Forged SL6 Pistons

Hey everyone,
I just held the first of the Pt112h84 and pt112h104 pistons in my hand 5 minutes ago. They were warm because SUPRISE!-they just came through the SKIRT COATING PROCESS!

Yes in addition to updating the forging, we added skirt coatings. No you can't return your old 3.445 size pistons...that's the price of progress and you got a good deal to begin with those :)

The new forging "blank" is nice....the weight of the NEW .104" overs is 4 grams less than the old .045" overs. I've got 9 sets of the pt112h104's that will be packaged tomorrow, so get them while they are hot.
These pistons must be used with a 7 inch c to c connecting rod.

Yes, 3.484" are also available, Brian said they had 3 sets of those made.

9 sets of 3.504"s and I just bought 3 sets (1 for me, 2 for some Aussies).

I don't remember if you can press those pins into stock 198 rods or what.

Brian,

I will take a few pics and post. Haven't gotten them yet, and will be very busy until Sunday, so hopefully then....

K1 rods came yesterday and the narrow ones are sweet. 604 g per rod, 44 g less than the forged crank rods.

Stonethk
Would you measure how deep the valve relief is.
Thanks,
Frank

They are deep - more than 0.2". About 6.5 cc's volume in the reliefs, IIRC.
