Hi folks,

I spoke with Brian Nutter (Wiseco) and Tom Molnar (K1) yesterday about these rod and piston kits.

K1 now has a few sets in stock of the 0.945" wide rods to fit the cast crank. These are 198 rod length and same design as the forged crank rods. Price will be the same. I just bought a set for my new cast crank motor that will be 3.445" bore.

Part number: DH7005BEHB-N6-A (same as wide rods, but add "N" before 6)

Big thanks to Tom and Brian for making all these parts available to the community.

Happy building,

Lou

I received the cast crank rods yesterday from K1. 604 g each with bolts. That's 44 g less than the forged crank K1 rods and about 150 g less than stock 198 rods.

Looking forward to getting this cast crank motor together this winter. Should be a real spinner...

Lou

I'll have to drop them a note (and some Franklins)... I have a late slant with the lighter cast crank that should be perfect for this...

Great! I think Tom Molnar said they have 4 sets in stock ready to ship and maybe a few more needing finishing.
