I would like to replace the E-Brake cables on my 62 Valiant. Rock Auto lists some 29" cables for the 63-66 Valiant but none for the 62. What are the odds that they will work of the 62?

Growing older is unavoidable but growing up is strictly optional.

Different brake cable configuration for the '61-'62 A-bodies vs. later years. If your cable housings are OK you could have them "re-cabled" at a marine shop if any such a thing can be found in AZ. If not, it shouldn't be hard to find the right brake cables at a stockist of new old parts. Old Car Parts Northwest probably has them, as might any of the many vendors running small ads in Hemmings (the outfits running big ads probably also have them, but you get to pay for the big ad when you buy from them...Mitchell, Layson, etc.)

Thanks Dan. I may be able to reuse the old ones if I clean them up a bit. If not I'll try the old carparts place.

David-- go check out year one or some other repo website-- it should give lengths of the cables--

I had a set of aftermarket cables-- they were the same lenght(both sides)-- but I never got around to using/comparing them to the 62--

I sold them some time ago.

I know the 60-61 is different -- but I'm not sure if the 62 follows the 60-61 style -- or changes to the 63- up style of cables.
It might depend on the production date of your ride.

Just like some had metal dash frames & some had plastic.

Year One does not support pre-'66 cars.

I know the 60-61 is different
'60 is by itself
'61-'62 is a group by itself
'63-'66 is a group by itself (and there's a different equaliser cable for the 106" vs. 111" wheelbase cars)

'61 was the first year for plastic instrument cluster housings.
