Is there a quick and easy way to determine if a transmission is an A-904T with the wide ratio gearset as opposed to an A-904 if the transmission is just sitting out loose? Thanks. |

I don't know if there is an easy way but most of the 80's lock up transmissions have the low gearsets (Fifth Ave, Fury, Imperial...etc) |

You could read and post the trans number stamped into the kickdown-side trans pan rail... |

Looks like it is from a 1979. http://www.mymopar.com/downloads/transguide.pdf I have a 79 service manual and it still shows the standard gear ratios (no low gear sets avail): 2.45 first 1.45 second 1.00 third 2.21 reverse |
