do any of you know off the top of your heads whether or not a V-8 flexplate will bolt up to the /6 crank? I am installing a higher stall converter in my 904 and it requires 7/16" bolts... I'm guessing that a V-8 flexplate will work as long as the crank flange is the same. anyway, any and all info is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance! |

Yes, but you will need to elongate 1 bolt hole. I did mine with a burr in my die grinder. |

So drill-out the SL6 flexplate to converter holes to 7/16". |

on the crank side (most likely) or the TC side?

You can buy $$ a V8 flex plate already drilled for 7/16" torque converter bolts and slot one flex plate to crank bolt hole to fit the slant. Or you can use an existing slant flex plate and drill out the converter holes. I went cheap. I drilled the converter bolt holes in an extra /6 flex plate. |

on the crank side (most likely) or the TC side?I drilled the converter holes out once and the ends of the flexplate broke off after a couple months. May have been just a coincidence maybe. |
