Thanks for the link. I finished it up yesterday and made my own mounts. I'm sure it's no more effective, but I just didn't like the way it looked.

Before I go reinventing the wheel, has anyone installed an Addco sway bar on an early A Body? The tabs that bolt on through the shock bolt sit at an angle and the lip they want you to use to bolt the mounts to doesn't exist on the early K-frame. This is for the front, I haven't even looked at the back yet. Unless I'm missing something I'll be fabbing my own mounts today. Before I do I just wanted to check that someone didn't have a better idea or I was reading the directions upside down or something. |

I have one on my Dart installed more or less the way the directions said to. Unfortunately the mounts hang down below the K-member that way and can scrape and get twisted. I like the mounts you've come up with a lot better. |

Please excuse this hijack, but “I guts to knowâ€. Any imput would be helpfull. This post has become interesting to me, as my Addco bar has never looked as it fit properly. I bolted the front bar mounts to the “K†frame per instructions through two factory holes on its leading edge, but after viewing the posted photos in this thread, as suspected, my bar is riding too far forward by about an inch causing lower control arm link to be at a forward leaning angle. Because of this, I was not able to install the short metal shim that rides between upper & lower bushings on the link. If two holes were drilled a bit more inboard along the “K†member leading edge I think the whole bar orientation would slide rearward about an inch enabling proper alignment of the link to lower control arm. When I installed the bar there was a territorial dispute involving the center brace leading from the “K†member to the lower radiator support member. I currently have the anti sway bar passing above this brace which required a bit of reshaping said brace. With the bar mounted rearward, I should think it would also drop in elevation missing that brace. None of this occurred to me at the time of installation. I did think that perhaps my “K†frame was not a 1967 type, but perhaps a later year, but I had no way to determine this not knowing what to look for. When I was tacking up the mounts the spacer I had between the radiator support brace and the bar fell out. If the mounts were a little higher I wouldn't have to have the washers under the brace. Now I get to make a new one
