Well I have been planing my engine build to use .080 over cast pistons but they are no longer avalible. My other option is to go with the .080 wiesco pistons but then I will need to go the long rod route correct. If so what will my compression be with the long rod set up. My head is all ready shaved .102 with 45cc chambers. I am only wanting 9-9.5 to 1 for my compression.

If it is the same pistons as the .045 then you will have positive piston displacement. With a minor clean up of .010 of the block and head only, you get around 10.25 to 1. The reason they made them is to minimize the need for custom parts. All stock engine parts will work.

The Sealed Power piston is a stock replacement part with no added compression. I don't know if they are available any more as I bought mine in 2003. If you have to use the Wiseco .080's, then possibly a thick head gasket would get you closer to the 9.5:1 number you're looking for.

I would double check the Wisco size. This piston is based on a metric design so the ".080 oversize" is really a 85.5 mm size. (3.4842 inches)
And yes, this is a shorter piston, designed to be used with a 7 inch long con rod.

Thanks for the replys. I was able to find some one who has a set lying around so I will be getting the .080 over cast pistons from them.
