Do you think that a crank scraper will really be a good addition to my next buildup? I already have a Mopar windage tray out of ebay. Do this two work well together?

I was looking at this http://www.crank-scrapers.com/Chrysler.html
They offer the regular version for about USD 75,. or the Teflon for an additional USD 100.-

Also how about adding acceleration baffles to the oil pan? Does anyone have pictures of what has been done? Thanks in advance slanters!!!

Mike Jefffery will sell you a crank scraper for 15? USD ( dont qutoe me on the price but i know it was way cheaper than the one you posted.)

Doc has posted some pictures on the board of oil pan baffles, do some searching and you could probably find it.

I'm sure Mike charges more than $15, but not for sure what he does charge.

I have a scraper and tray in my junk. If I were building a street only motor I'm not sure I'd worry about either. If it's a motor where you want every last bit of horsepower you can get, use both.

Used together they may be worth maybe 10-12 horsepower at higher RPM's.

Let me know the tracking # when you ship mines Kevin. Thanks!

For the records I have gone for the scraper + Windage + pan bafling for my next engine. And I DO want every last bit of horsepower I can get out of my junk!!!

Kevin,

How about posting a picture of what the SL6 scrapper looked like? Can you share your pattern? I would like to make one if your not selling them....

Thanks,

I apologize for not answering the PMs. I am going to modify the downstroke side to include a variant of a design I just completed for the LA engines.

We are going to get some breakfast so I will get back to you shortly.
Will i get this new scraper on the downstroke?

I am in the middle of designing and coding the pieces -- it is pretty time consuming. I will be cutting a couple out this afternoon and will take some pics.

The upstroke scraper with trap doors is done. I am still working on the downstroke side.
