Wondering if Pacemaker headers would work on a US-market early A-body. Anyone tried?

Very likely not. Remember, there's no steering box in the way on the Australian cars, but the oil filter is over there. The K-frame and steering linkage are different, too. So all the tubes bend very differently.

hello,
these headers are Perry, very similar to Pacemakers, and as you will see, they go right where your LHD steering box is. So the answer is NO,they are not suitable. Please disregard the rust spots, they do need a touch-up.

From what I understand, there are some Austrailian headers being built and prototypes being shipped over here very shortly for test fitting on our left hand drive cars.

Yep
Keep your eyes open for a test drive and report.
